Recently, we were referred by a Landscaping Company doing business in Meadowview to a Licensed Cement Contractor(or so we thought). We were told they did business "all over Meadowview". We were new to Meadowview and since they were already working here, took that information at face value.

We contracted a company called RAMIREZ LANDSCAPING aka, SPECIALIST LANDSCAPING owned by Jaime Ramirez out of Hemet @ 951-259-5718. He was to put up our 45' wall that would also be the rear wall for our barn. We signed the paperwork that stated his state contractors license number was; #027135. Later, to find out through The California State Contractors Licensing Board, that there is no such number or license? We paid in cash and now the wall is leaning over and needs to be replaced. Of course when we called Jaime and asked him about the bogus license information, he said "so"? He will not fix the wall and now we have no recourse to go after a bond or a license with the state.

***This information is provided in efforts to inform other Meadowview residents not to do business with this unlicensed contractor as they will have no recourse if something should go wrong with either the job or an injury on your property. Jaime could sue the homeowner as he has so insurance or bond.***

If you could post this information on the Meadowview web-site so other residents can become informed we would appreciate it.

September 10, 2007 -- Early this morning our neighbors' sheep were viciously attacked by two loose dogs.  In spite of getting Nancy to the vet, she had to be put down, her injuries were so severe.  These two dogs also had their eye on my 35lb. lab mix, Ivy.  Fortunately my husband John was able to get Ivy in the house.

Although reported to Animal Control, these dogs may still be on the loose.  They are husky type dogs, one white, the other black and white.  Both had collars and one had tags.

Those of you who know me know that I am a huge dog and animal lover, but there is something not right with these dogs.  The vet said they were looking to kill and since we don't know their medical history, there could be a reason for this.

These sheep have lived in Meadowview peacefully for ten years.  Melissa was also attacked but we are hoping, and her owners are hoping for the best.  Keep your pets and children close and be alert to these dogs and call Animal Control or the police if you see them.  I don't even know if they belong to Meadowview residents or belong to anybody.

Take care.
